We are proud to welcome a new consultant, Dr. Raffaele D’Amato, to our team in time for this sale. Dr. D’Amato completed a PhD in Romano-Byzantine Law, followed by a PhD in Roman archaeology at the University of Ferrara, and is now a leading Italian archaeologist and historian. Having previously worked as a curator of Romano-Byzantine artefacts at the Museum of Man based in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A, Dr. D’Amato currently works as an independent researcher at the Laboratory of the Danubian Provinces at the University of Ferrara, with a particular focus on the military material of Rome and Byzantium. Dr. D’Amato continues to run academic conferences and is the author of many published papers.

The TimeLine Champagne reception will take place in the Crystal Ballroom of The May Fair Hotel, London, from 6pm to 9pm on Monday 27th May. Lots will be available for viewing from noon.
