TimeLine Auctions: 1st-6th September 2020 Catalogue Auction

Our last sale surpassed all previous records by an unprecedented margin in terms of both the amount of lots sold and their total value. The usual vetting committee for the upcoming sale was held in July 2020, where our experts assessed an array of intriguing and exciting objects, each containing their own unique story. Our live auction will begin on 1st September 2020 and we anticipate a high level of interest and competitive bidding throughout the month of August.

These are indeed unprecedented times, however at Timeline Auctions we are determined to continue to provide you with an uninterrupted service. Our recently upgraded high-quality images and videos, available on our website, allow buyers to conduct their selection process from anywhere in the world. As always, condition reports and additional images are available upon request. As the May Fair Hotel is still not open for events, we are operating extensive viewing opportunities at our head office.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Raffaele D’Amato to our team as a full-time member of staff.  Dr. D’Amato will not only continue his academic research and cataloguing work for us, but, as a qualified lawyer, he will also head up our legal and compliance department. In other news, our collaboration project with the local community to establish a local museum in Harwich is progressing well. We have successfully acquired a spacious 9,000 sq. ft. building in the centre of Harwich and the refurbishment and construction of exhibits is well under way. We are greatly looking forward to opening the museum later this year.

Looking ahead, we are now collecting material for our November auction. By prior arrangement, vendors are able to send or bring items to us at our Harwich premises for appraisal. We are also operating a personal collection service within the Greater London area. Our commission rate includes extensive research, cataloguing, listing, and professional photography. In addition, lots are published on six global internet bidding platforms for five weeks and included in our glossy A4 printed catalogues distributed globally in their thousands. Our advertising and marketing campaigns reach around 15,000 registered clients on our own platform, as well as designated email shots on many others.

We believe that no other antiquities auction house provides such a comprehensive and professional service for both buyers and sellers. For potential consignments please email Aaron Hammond: aaron-hammond@timelineauctions.com
